Wework Manhattan Beach Towers

Wework Manhattan Beach Towers

Okay, let's talk about WeWork Manhattan Beach Towers. And maybe…just maybe… ruffle a few feathers. I'm ready.

First things first, Manhattan Beach? Dreamy, right? Sun, sand, maybe a celebrity sighting or two. So naturally, anything located there is immediately cooler by association. It's science. Or, you know, marketing.

But WeWork in Manhattan Beach? That's like putting sprinkles on a perfectly good donut. Is it bad? No. Is it necessary? Hmm...

I know, I know. WeWork is all about community and collaboration. And the free coffee! Don't get me started on the free coffee. I'm basically fueled by that stuff. But here's my slightly-less-than-revolutionary thought: Manhattan Beach already is a community.

Hear me out. You've got the local surf shops. The mom-and-pop restaurants. The outrageously expensive but incredibly delicious ice cream parlors. (Seriously, the lines are insane!). All these little gems already foster a sense of togetherness. Do we really need a sleek, corporate-y co-working space to replicate that?

Maybe this is just me being a grumpy Gus, yearning for simpler times. But sometimes, I think we try too hard to "optimize" everything. Like, can't we just enjoy the beach and the sunshine and the spontaneous conversations with the barista who remembers your name and your complicated oat milk latte order?

I'm not saying WeWork Manhattan Beach Towers is evil. Far from it. I'm sure it's a lovely place to work. The views must be incredible. And let's be honest, who doesn't love a good ergonomic chair?

The Unpopular Opinion Strikes Again

But here's where I get controversial (brace yourselves): I think the real magic of Manhattan Beach happens outside those glass doors. It's the feeling of sand between your toes during your lunch break. It's the impromptu volleyball game after work. It's the salty air that somehow makes even the most mundane tasks feel a little bit…epic.

Maybe my issue isn't with WeWork specifically. Maybe it's with the whole "work hard, play hard" mentality that seems to permeate every aspect of modern life. Can't we just…chill?

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the ambition. The drive. The relentless pursuit of success. But sometimes, success looks like a perfectly imperfect sunset viewed from a beach blanket with friends. And that's something no fancy co-working space can replicate.

I’m probably going to get a lot of hate mail for this. I can already see the angry comments: “You just don’t understand the entrepreneurial spirit!” “You’re anti-innovation!” “You clearly haven’t tasted their artisanal kombucha!”

And to all of you, I say: Fair enough. Maybe you’re right. But maybe… just maybe… there’s something to be said for embracing the inherent charm of a place like Manhattan Beach, without trying to force-fit it into a pre-packaged corporate mold.

Plus, think about the commute! All that traffic just to get to… a place that facilitates getting work done? Couldn't you, you know, find a cozy cafe by the beach and still get the job done with a fraction of the hassle?

Let's not forget about the cost. Co-working spaces can be pricey. Could that money be better spent on, say, a year's supply of aforementioned outrageously expensive ice cream? I'm just asking the tough questions here.

Ultimately, it all boils down to personal preference. If you thrive in a structured, collaborative environment, then WeWork Manhattan Beach Towers might be your happy place. And that's totally cool.

But if you're like me, and you prefer your productivity with a side of ocean breeze and a healthy dose of local character, well… maybe you'll understand where I'm coming from. Or maybe you’ll just think I'm crazy. Either way, thanks for reading!

And hey, if Adam Neumann ever reads this, I'm available for consulting. I have tons of unsolicited opinions. All free of charge (except for the kombucha, of course).

Okay, rant over. Back to enjoying the sunshine. And probably grabbing some ice cream. You know, for research purposes.

This is just one person's slightly-off-kilter view of the world. Take it with a grain of (sea) salt. After all, isn’t that what Manhattan Beach is all about?
