Spider Man No Way Home Toys Marvel Legends

Spider Man No Way Home Toys Marvel Legends

Okay, let's talk Spider-Man: No Way Home. Amazing movie, right? But what about the toys? Specifically, the Marvel Legends figures. I have some... thoughts.

Don't get me wrong, I love plastic people. Little poseable versions of our favorite characters? What's not to like? But No Way Home Legends… It's complicated.

The Raimi Suit: Still Iconic

The Tobey Maguire Spider-Man, back in his classic Raimi suit? Chef's kiss. Instant classic. No complaints there. It’s like a warm hug of nostalgia.

He can even do the pointing meme! What more could you possibly want? Besides maybe a pizza.

Andrew Garfield’s Spidey: Underrated Legend

Now, Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man. He was cool, too. His suit had that unique texture. And the figure captures it pretty well.

But here's my unpopular opinion: I actually prefer his suit design to Tobey's. Fight me! Okay, don’t actually fight me, but let’s discuss this civilly.

Seriously, the colors! The sleekness! Perfection.

The Villains: Where's the Love?

Okay, where the villains at?! They made Electro, but... he felt kinda basic. He needed more electricity effects!

Jamie Foxx deserved better. He looked way cooler in the movie. More crackling energy!

Green Goblin: Needs an Upgrade!

And the Green Goblin? The movie Goblin? Criminally underrepresented. No love for the Willem Dafoe goblin!

I know they gave us the Raimi Goblin, but that wasn't the one in No Way Home for most of the movie. He needed the broken mask, the tattered clothes, the crazed look.

That unhinged energy was missing!

The Accessories: A Mixed Bag

Some of the accessories were cool. Extra hands for web-slinging poses? Yes, please! But some were a little... underwhelming.

Did we really need another Peter Parker unmasked head? How many Peter Parkers do we really need?

Just kidding... mostly. More heads are always welcome... for custom figures, of course!

Articulation: Pretty Good, But…

The articulation is usually pretty good with Marvel Legends. Lots of posing possibilities! They can do those cool dynamic poses.

But sometimes the joints feel a little stiff, or a little loose. The struggle is real.

And sometimes the paint application isn't perfect. But hey, they're mass-produced toys. We can't expect perfection, right?

Final Thoughts: More No Way Home, Please!

Overall, the No Way Home Marvel Legends figures are… fine. They're good. But they could have been GREAT. Some were amazing, some lacked something.

We definitely need more villains. And maybe a better Electro. And definitely a movie Green Goblin! Come on, Hasbro, you can do it!

And maybe, just maybe, a fully articulated Doctor Strange with all his magical accessories. Now that would be epic. We need the sling rings!

So, that's my take. Maybe you agree, maybe you disagree. Either way, let's just appreciate the fact that we got to see all three Spider-Men together on screen. It was awesome.

And hey, if they ever release a No Way Home Aunt May figure? I'm pre-ordering it immediately.
