Of course, Orange Car Rental does have its perks. Their service is generally good, from what I hear. And they've got a massive fleet of cars. Easy to find a 4x4, if that's what you need for venturing into the Highlands. Which is a perfectly fine reason to rent from them.

It's Just a Car, Right?

But at the end of the day, it's just a car. A tool to get you around. It shouldn't dictate your entire Icelandic experience. Don't fall for the hype just because everyone else is doing it.

Maybe you love the orange. Maybe you can't imagine experiencing Iceland any other way. And that's perfectly fine! To each their own, right?

But maybe, just maybe, consider venturing off the beaten orange path. You might be pleasantly surprised.
