Okay, let's talk about Long Horse. You know, that creepy pasta creature by Trevor Henderson?

Everyone seems to be terrified of it. But, I'm going to say something a little… different.

Is Long Horse Actually… Kind Of Adorable?

Hear me out! I know, I know. It's a giant, bony horse with an infinitely long neck. Spooky, right?

But think about it. Its whole deal is that it warns people about impending disasters.

It's basically a really, really weird looking neighborhood watch.

He Just Wants To Help!

Imagine Long Horse peeking its head over your house. Not to scare you, but to say, "Hey, heads up! There's a flood coming!"

Wouldn't you be grateful? Maybe a little freaked out, sure, but mostly grateful.

I think we've been misjudging Long Horse all along. We are influenced by Henderson's other creations, such as Siren Head.

That Neck Though…

Okay, the neck is undeniably weird. It's like a stretched-out Slinky toy gone wrong.

But think about the logistics! How does it even manage that thing? The core strength!

I'm honestly more impressed than scared.

And the fact that it supposedly makes a gentle, rattling noise. That's kind of endearing, isn't it?

"Rattle, rattle… beware of falling trees!"

He Is Not The Scary One.

Let's be honest. Some of the other Trevor Henderson monsters are truly nightmare fuel.

Siren Head lurking in the woods? Absolutely terrifying. Cartoon Cat with its unsettling grin? No thanks.

But Long Horse? It just seems like a misunderstood gentle giant.

It could be a terrifying harbinger of doom or a goofy horse looking to help.

And that is the beauty of Henderson's creatures.

Maybe I'm Just Weird

I fully admit, I might be alone on this one. Maybe my sense of what's scary is a little… off.

But I can't help but see Long Horse as more quirky than terrifying. It's like a long horse slinky.

Is it kind of cute? Just a little?

I am not saying Trevor Henderson is not scary. I am saying Long Horse seems to get a bad rep.

It might be the wide spaced eyes that seems so innocent.

The Unpopular Opinion

So, here it is. My controversial, possibly insane opinion: Long Horse is not that scary.

It's actually kind of wholesome, in a bizarre, elongated, bony sort of way.

It just wants to use its freakishly long neck to keep us safe.
